Letter from a ward member -
July 9, 2012
Thought you'd enjoy the attached picture of Sister Tippetts and Sister Bennett after a lesson with my friend Nancy after Nancy's 2nd lesson. Notice Sister Tippetts shoes. No she does not tract in these. Sister Tippetts was admiring Nancy's shoes and tried them on. Nancy was happy to share her shoes because these Sisters shared something very precious with Nancy, their testimonies of the restored gospel of our Savior, Jesus Christ!
We are so thankful to have Sister missionaries now in Moorpark. It is an answer to prayer. My friend, Nancy, was interested in learning more about our church but Nancy found it difficult to set up appointments with the Elder's who needed to have a male in the home during her
lessons. Nancy was ecstatic to learn we now have Sister missionaries. After her first lesson, she quickly accepted the first vision. She was confused as to who wrote the book Joseph found in the hill. But the sisters had her open to the introduction of the Book of Mormon and taught the truths she had sought. Your daughters share powerful testimony and Nancy can feel the spirit testify of the truths being taught. They've become fast friends as you can tell from the picture.
Thank you for sharing your daughters with us. I know the joy and sacrifice involved. My daughter returned 8 months ago from serving in the Canada Halifax mission. Currently, I have a son serving in the Missouri Independence Mission.I know how greatly we miss them but how grateful we are for their dedication.
You can be well pleased with your daughters who love the gospel and are excited to share it.
Enjoy the photo.
Warmly,
Holley Tolliver
